Appointed Vice President of Strategy for the Airline Customer Unit in October 2017, David oversees business and commercial strategy, financial planning, strategic marketing, customer insights and partnership strategy for both IT and distribution services within Amadeus’ airlines business unit. Since joining Amadeus in 1999, David has held a wide range of roles within the company bringing a rich and varied perspective to airlines. He started as a Head of the Western Europe markets team. In 2003, he assumed responsibility for managing all airline account management and sales in the EMEA and Latin America regions and airline marketing worldwide. In 2005, he added responsibility for the Low Cost Carrier IT business line to his remit. David was appointed to Head Distribution Marketing in 2009, a role he held for over four years before moving to the subscriber side of the distribution business as Vice President of Western Europe, Middle East and Africa in 2013. Prior to joining Amadeus, David worked in retail & sales consultancy in Spain and sports goods distribution in France. David holds a BA Honours degree from Leicester University in Combined Studies, an MBA from IEDE Madrid and Executive Studies at Stanford University Business School.
